The data to analyse which is used by gitmostwanted.com
is provided by Google BigQuery and the
service is pretty expensive. For example we were using the trial plan to re-run the algorithms
during the early development phase, unfortunately right now we cannot afford to do it more often.
Hosting
The project is located on a private machine and hosted by ProfitBricks. At some point the amount of
resources is limited (i.e. only one CPU, 2gb of ram). I have to close expensive functionality
behind the registration link. Also, I would like to use a number of machine learning
algorithms to improve the ranking, in the current situation this is barely possible.
Motivation
Basic functionality has been implemented, other features require valuable amount of time.
